Contractual status granted to a supplier guaranteeing it priority of allocation over a defined volume of purchases, often accompanied by a multi-year commitment. In the humanoid actuator supply chain, this is a key industrial chokepoint: Schaeffler has been named preferred supplier to Humanoid.ai for more than 50% of its actuators through to 2031.
