A-share
A security listed in renminbi (yuan) on the Shanghai or Shenzhen stock exchanges (the Chinese A-share market). Historically reserved for Chinese institutional investors, the A-share market remains distinct from H-shares (Hong Kong) and American ADRs. The STAR Market (科创板) is a segment of it focused on technology and innovation.
