Dynamic balance

The ability of a mechanical or robotic system to maintain its stability while in motion, through continuous adjustments (as opposed to static balance). A fundamental prerequisite for autonomous bipedal walking; inherited from techniques developed for self-balancing exoskeletons. EN: dynamic balance / dynamic stability.
