Imitation learning (apprentissage par imitation)
The robot learns by imitating human movements captured through teleoperation.
A machine learning method in which a robot reproduces behaviours from examples of movements performed by humans (via teleoperation, motion capture or video). The operator carries out the task, sensors record the trajectory, and the model learns to generalise that behaviour. At CES 2026, Unitree's xr_teleoperate repository explicitly describes its teleoperation system as a "data collection toolkit for embodied intelligence" intended to feed this process.
